During this loop-shaped hiking route, you will discover the rich history of Zichem while enjoying the soothing nature. You start at junction 375 and walk to the impressive Maagdentoren, a historic building dating back to the 14th century. Next, you walk to the Old Toll House 't Wit Peerd, the oldest house in the city, and the Old Town Hall, which takes you back to the 19th century with its charming empire style. The Sint-Eustachiuskerk, featuring the statue of Ernest Claes, offers a beautiful view of the square. Don’t forget to take a look at the Elzenklooster, which tells its own story. This route, with a medium level of difficulty and largely unpaved, is perfect for a relaxing day in nature while admiring the architectural gems of Zichem.
