This walking route takes you through a soothing natural environment, where the beauty of trees and shrubs is central. You begin your journey at junction 68, where you soon encounter the ascending gray poplar, a stately tree that invites you to explore further. As you walk past the vegetable garden, you see the old hazel trees that have been coppiced, marking the boundaries of the plot. The route continues along a tall pollarded willow, which functions as a screen tree, and through the Zwalmmeersen, where the remnants of rows of pollarded willows remind you of traditional landscape management. The last stop is an old pollarded willow that serves as a corner tree framing the surroundings. With a length of 5.2 kilometers and a medium difficulty level, this circular route offers a nice opportunity to experience nature and shift your thoughts.
