We did this walk on 01/03/2026 (13,944 steps).

For the route, we used the junction network and MTB routes. The Kempen Ridge is an excellent hiking area. The elongated sand ridge runs from Retie to Grobbendonk and forms the largest relief of the Antwerp Kempen.

This Kempen Ridge is a unique nature area, formed from old land dunes that were left behind when the sea retreated. Over a distance of approximately 15 kilometers, the ridge connects several municipalities, including Retie, Kasterlee, Herentals, Lille, Vorselaar, and Grobbendonk.

This walk offers the hiker a variety of surfaces and different sights, such as beautiful nature, sunken paths, lovely chapels with information, and much more.
