From Gasthof De Brouwerij in Affligem we set off for a charming walk via The Cloisters to the iconic Abbey of Affligem and back. We walk along quiet paths and green landscapes where nature and heritage beautifully come together. The Abbey of Affligem was founded in 1074 and grew to become one of the oldest and most important Benedictine abbeys in Flanders, with a rich history of spirituality, agriculture, and brewing.

Please note that some trails may be muddy, so waterproof hiking shoes are definitely recommended. A beautiful trip full of tranquility, nature, and history. 🌿🥾
