In Eizer, once the center of luxurious peaches, we walk past peach growers but also fields and forests.

At the start of the walk, you are at the parking lot near the Sint-Magdalenakerk of Eizer. The neo-Gothic church was built in 1893. The interior was adorned with beautiful stained glass windows donated by local families, mostly wealthy peach growers. You go to the right and leave the KNPT322 where you continue straight along the Sint-Jozefschool.

At the first road to the right, the Ballingstraat, you will find the Cruysboomkapel built at the end of the 18th century. In front of it stands a sculpture in honor of the peach growers “de Pezzenaaër,” who were numerous here in the past and ensured great prosperity in the village as there was even export abroad. A little further along the Ballingstraat, you will find another beautiful peach grower's house of Edmond Charlier, whose iron grille around the estate represents the peach tree. Further on, you will find the vineyards of table grapes from Bruno Charlier, which cannot be purchased privately. At the intersection with the Schapenweg, you turn left, and a little further you come to the walking junction network that you are allowed to follow from now until the end. A bit further along the Kaalheide, you go right to follow the meandering Nellebeek along a slow road until you reach KNPT 320.

Now you follow the Groeneweg, a narrow steep cobbled road towards KNPT319 alongside some beautiful villas. At the top of the plateau, you discover some peach growers of whom Ronald Vanderkelen is still an authentic grower of the famous Belgian table grape. He is already the 3rd generation of a business that was established in the 1930s.

At the end of the Groenweg, you turn right towards KNPT 326 where you cross the busy Duisbergsesteenweg and continue along the Ketelheide. First a cobbled road, but further on an unpaved road. Here, between the treetops, you can see the castle domain de Marnix dating from the second half of the 19th century. The private domain still belongs to the noble family de Marnix. You continue along the unpaved road towards KNPT417, where it becomes a hollow climbing path. At walking node 417, a 5-way, you go to 401 to turn right a little further towards KNPT 325.

Here on the Waaienberg, you have a beautiful view of the forest and valley with the center of Eizer in the distance. You continue to descend along the unpaved road.

You keep following until walking junction 325 where you turn left to follow the little path towards the forest. At the end of this path, you return to the built-up area, and a little further left you are back at the church at your starting point.
