A walk through the cottage district of Tervuren, including 'La Nouvelle Maison' by Henry van de Velde. Just like now, at the end of the 19th century, the charm of living in greenery attracted many people. As an old ducal residence on the edge of the Sonian Forest, Tervuren exerted a certain attraction on the Brussels bourgeoisie. They soon began to build beautiful country houses in English style.
