The Hoeilaart Border Route has been around for many years. At the initiative of the VTB-VAB section/Cultuursmakers, this walking and cycling route of approximately 27 kilometers was designed. The philosophy of this route was to follow the border of Hoeilaart with its neighboring municipalities.
This route passes by various beautiful spots in the municipality, including a lovely piece of the Sonian Forest. Note: you can also cover the route by bike, but you will need to dismount at several places because you cannot pass through by bike (for example, in the sunken road of the Hazendreef).
