Kleuddepad Zemst-Laar (8,5km)

The Kleuddepad of Zemst-Laar is a walking loop of 8.5 km long, which runs for the most part on asphalted road. Two sections (together about a km: Lareveld southwards, and at the Chapel of Our Lady of the 7-Sorrows) are unpaved.

A Kleudde appeared in the history of Zemst-Laar en-Bos in the ghost stories and legends long around the marshy areas long the Laarse streams and trousers. Het Nieuwblad has even written an article about this:

Nowadays it is important to watch out for another Kleudde: In 2 places where the road takes sharp turns and the cars sometimes drive through it too fast, you can get the scare of your life: This is in the eastern Larestraat (just after the Lareveld) and the northern Wormelaarstraat (just after the unpaved path at the Chapel of Our Lady of the 7-Sorrows). So: show yourself there, and avoid a dark Kleudde walk!

This walk is measured in clockwork clockwise sense, but the GPX shown here runs in counterclockwork direction.
