AzureTerrils and treasure blocks recall the mining past. Today, terrils are beautifully overgrown and many buildings have been given a new purpose. This cycling loop in and around Beringen and Heusen-Zolder shows you the old and new mining atmosphere and you cycle along the beautiful Valley of the Zwarte beek, the Mangelbeek and the Koerselse Heide. This route follows nodes 345-502-341-310-518-307-308-316-311-304-306-343-345. The route was mentioned in the VAB magazine of April 2014. Source: www.vab.be
