Terrils and treasure blocks recall the mining past. Today, terrils are beautifully overgrown and many buildings have been given a new purpose. This cycling loop in and around Beringen and Heusen-Zolder shows you the old and new mining atmosphere and you cycle along the beautiful Valley of the Zwarte beek, the Mangelbeek and the Koerselse Heide.
