This 170-kilometer long hiking route takes you along dirt roads and winding paths through nature reserves such as the Turnhout Ponds area and the Regte Heide. Along the way, you will spot dragonflies above the water, grazing Galloways in open grasslands, and ancient avenues that take you back in time. The route starts in Turnhout, the capital of the Noorderkempen, and leads past the colonies of Merksplas and Wortel to Hoogstraten, the strawberry capital. In Baarle, the enclaves are a unique phenomenon: one moment you walk in Belgium, the next moment in the Netherlands. Through the Ravelse Woods between Poppel and Ravels, you return to Turnhout.
