You cycle through a varied landscape where nature and history meet. At Fintele, where the Lovaart and IJzer converge, you can still see the traces of the medieval windlass that pulled boats from one river to the other. After that, the Helleketelbos awaits, a bird paradise where woodpeckers and whinchats accompany you.

Further along lies Entre-Deux-Monts, one of Europe's northernmost vineyards, nestled between the Rodeberg and Zwarteberg. Here you can taste the fresh, aromatic wines of vintner Martin Bacquaert, with views of rolling hills.

The route ends at the Galgebossen, a historic forest with ponds and amphibians. The name recalls a dark past, but today it is a quiet refuge full of life.
