Episode 1: Hingene

Hans Cottyn takes us for a walk in a region with a special story. First, he studies the map, and not just any map: it is the 18th-century atlas of Count Ferraris that helps him decide where the journey will go. Those who walk behind him see our country not only as it is, but also as it has changed. His first trip starts at the castle of Hingene, and goes through the Groot Schoor, along the canal to Wintham, and through the fields to Eikevliet.
