Giro between Two Mountains – Mont-Saint-Aubert & Mont-de-l’Enclus – 105km

Giro tra Due Monti is a varied Vespa and scooter route of about 105 km from Vespa Club Avelgem – Squadra Segreta,
with two well-known heights from our border region as a common thread: Mont-Saint-Aubert and Mont-de-l’Enclus.

As always, the ride starts at our familiar Vespabar in Bossuit, the clubhouse of Vespa Club Avelgem – Squadra Segreta.
From the Schelde region, we head towards Tournai and Mont-Saint-Aubert, alternating between quiet rural roads, small village centers, and the open landscape of Hainaut.

The first monte of this Giro is Mont-Saint-Aubert, one of the best-known hills around Tournai.
The winding roads upward and the wide views over the Schelde valley and Tournai make this a particularly beautiful section to ride with the Vespa.

At the top of Mont-Saint-Aubert, we stop at Floreal Le Panoramique for a drink.
The name is particularly appropriate here: from the hill and the brasserie, you get a beautiful panoramic view of the region around Tournai.

After that, we again head into the rural Hainaut region.
Rolling roads, open fields, and small Walloon villages accompany us towards Mont-de-l’Enclus, at the transition between Walloon and the Flemish Ardennes.

With Mont-de-l’Enclus, we reach the second monte of the ride. This green ridge, with the nearby Kluisbos, forms one of the recognizable landscapes of the region.
From the area, you can see Mont-Saint-Aubert, Tournai, and the plain of the Schelde.

Here comes our second stop at Etappe 33 on Bergstraat in Kluisbergen.
After riding between both hills, this is the moment for a drink and a delicious dessert before we start the last part of the ride.

Then we descend again towards the Schelde valley and return via rural roads and the rolling landscape of the Flemish Ardennes back to Bossuit,
where the route ends again at our Vespabar after approximately 105 km.

Giro tra Due Monti thus connects two characteristic heights in one Vespa ride: from Mont-Saint-Aubert near Tournai to Mont-de-l’Enclus and Kluisbergen.
Flanders and Wallonia, the Schelde valley, hilly driving roads, nature, panoramas, and two cozy stops ensure continuously changing landscapes along the way.
