Walking route – most scenic. We parked in the SME zone on Kamplaan in Kapellen. We did this deliberately so we could stop for a drink on a terrace at the Brasschaat Aero Club after about two-thirds of the walk, but of course you can also park there (on the Essensesteenweg side). It’s a typical landscape of a former military domain, with unspoilt natural surroundings and no motor traffic. Just the occasional small plane taking off.
