Welcome to the landscape of Haspengouw Castle. More than a hundred castles, hidden in the valleys or on top of the hills, adorn this hilly landscape. For centuries, the fertile soil charmed the nobility. The result is a culturally rich region with romantic castles and majestic square farmhouses.

This mostly flat cycle path of about 32 km takes you through the highlights of this region's rich past. Castles with long avenues and fragrant gardens, sturdy castles, monumental square farmhouses... And all this in the heart of the beautiful fruit region.

SIGNAGE
The different nodes are numbered and clearly visible on blue rectangular panels. Signs indicate bike paths in two directions. This way, you move from one node to another via a simple system.

NATURE OF THE ROUTE
You pass through a quiet rural area with orchards, castles, hollow roads and church villages. The landscape is slightly hilly and the road is about 25% car-free.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES
This region is a must for true foodies. Guests can enjoy rich jams, artisan syrup, fruit pies, fruit juices or Croque Haspengouw, with Limburg rock cheese, ham, apple and pear. For beer lovers, there are tasty regional beers, such as those from Kerkom Brewery and Wilderen Brewery.
