Kattestraat Hombeek footpath loop (4,9km)

The Kattestraat has many footpaths. Here you can walk/trail them all. All together recorded in 1 large loop in a row. Car-free, Enjoy pure nature.
Departure and arrival on the northernmost side of the vertivale Kattestraat, in the Oude Bankstraat where there are parking options.

Year after year, Sentier 42 is shortened little by little (apart from the chain at the end of the driveway on Kattestraat, and Senier 43 on the right side Kattestraat, which has Sentier 42 as an exit, is either plowed (side Willebrordusweg), or overbuilt (side Kattestraat). On the west side Kattestraat the Senier 43 is fully permeable, apart from low wire closure for sheep etc. and some tree growth on the stream.
On the Bankstraat, sentier 43 has already undergone a (permitted) relocation so that it ends between two transverse plots compared to the Bankstraat in the Bankstraat. The problem in that eastern place is an unwilling owner at the end of the widening on the right side sentier 43, who de-facto places his car against the otherwise much narrower footpath 43, thus acquiring the barrier kwasie.

Solutions:
1. sentier 43 left Kattestraat: in the 4 places where low sheep fences are placed cow gates so that free passage no longer has to be 'over the wire'.
2. sentier 43 right side Kattestraat: reconnect with the existing Sentier 42 (at its end) by following the currently existing boundaries of the ploughs (to be noted on Google or on the spot by the thick plow boundary boulders). The 43 then 'no longer connects' to the further easternmost sentier 43, but the Chemin 31 (Willebrordusweg - no car passage!) allows slow road users to walk from the main road Chemin 5 to the Chemin 10 and 11 / MTB.

Very small adjustments that farmers should also be able to agree with, because they are not asked to restore the 43 over the plough fields, but to redesign the 43 between the Willebrordusweg and the Sentier 42, which is fully permeable, at the plough fields.
The sheep can also continue to take their place by placing cow gates.
The only 'job' that should finally be done is to remove the trees in the bed of the sentier 43 on the stream, and in winter over the stream (only watered in very wet weather) a train bill or 3 places for a small crossing for the somewhat older hiker / MTB.

This is a very important passage between two main streets, where at each main street you can re-insert to a neighborhood road for a further walk/Trail/MTB.
