The Belgian Ardennes offer many idyllic hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. One of the most impressive short walks I've done in recent years is undoubtedly the valley of the Hoëgne near Solwaster (Jalhay), the Belgian Wallon region. The area is romantic and rough at the same time with its numerous idyllic waterfalls, wooden bridges, forests and fields.
