Parking in Molenslag at the cemetery parking lot. The hiking area of the Old Kalevallees lies between Lovendegemen Vinderhoute, slightly west of Ghent. You wander through a variety of landscape elements such as meadows, ponds, pastures, and fields. There is also the well-preserved heritage in the village centers, the Vlaanderenmill, old farms, and picturesque castles. The area was once almost inaccessible for those seeking recreation, but it is now developed by the Flemish Land Society. Thanks to the new marked connections, cyclists and hikers can fully enjoy this unique piece of nature.
