A very varied hike from Westmalle to the nature reserve ’Hoofsweer’ in Brecht and back.

This hiking route starts at the cemetery of Westmalle, where parking is available. The tour begins through the northern part of Westmalle and then leads through a rural area to the Hoofsweer nature reserve. After a very short exploration of the area, the route continues with a break at the bird watching station, where, with a bit of luck and binoculars, you can spot a kingfisher. The path continues over both unpaved and paved ways towards the beautiful castle grounds of Westmalle.
