Out with the pastors of our faith! Religious heritage in Bruges

We would like to invite you to go out with us in bustling Bruges along the historic church buildings and cult sites. The church today is not only a place for celebrations and prayer meetings, but also a space for silence and reflection. In the hustle and bustle of the city, numerous Bruges residents and visitors are looking for a place of peace and quiet. In this oasis they let themselves be fed on the manna of the Biblical scenes, which the beautiful works of art and shiny stained glass windows show us. Others want to visit religious buildings for historical and cultural reasons. The building history of the churches and the various locations bear witness to a rich past. Still others are looking for the roots of our faith and visit our churches from a spiritual angle. Numerous saints offer an answer. Through their preaching they brought a word of life to many. Their concern for their fellow man adorned their lives. Through their prayers, they lived in close communion with the living Lord. On our way we can get to know them up close. In every church we find traces that refer to our pastors in the faith: the missionaries in Bruges and the surrounding area.
