On this themed tour you will cycle past church buildings and monuments built in Balegem stone, an extraordinary sandstone that was very highly regarded in the 15th and 16th centuries. The small monuments in Balegem stone along the route were erected to commemorate anecdotes, historical events or characters. You cycle past various villages and through a rolling landscape.
The route starts and ends at the unique agricultural distillery Van Damme. Be sure to step inside for a fresh and real Balegem genever!
