Discover all benefitsLivinus was canonized in 842. His remains are said to have been transferred from Houtem to Ghent in 1007, where they were lost during the Second Iconoclasm in 1578. This cycling route is a path that his remains could (have) followed. However, it has been a while since this was verified. What is certain is that this route is one of the most beautiful cycling paths between the Sint-Livinuskappelletje in Sint-Lievens-Houtem and the Sint-Baafsabdij in Ghent, where Livinus is said to have stayed before he began preaching in the area between Ghent-Aalst-Ninove.
