Parking in Molenslag at the cemetery parking lot. The hiking area of the Old Kalevalle is located between Lovendegemen Vinderhoute, slightly west of Ghent. You wander through a variety of landscape elements such as meadows, ponds, pastures, and fields. Additionally, there is the well-preserved heritage in the village centers, the Vlaanderenmolen, old farms, and picturesque castles. The area was previously nearly inaccessible for recreational seekers, but it is now accessible thanks to the Flemish Land Society. Thanks to the new, signposted connections, cyclists and hikers can fully enjoy this unique piece of nature.
