Changing hiking land through the Flemish Ardennes, along slow paths, field paths, agricultural land, and nature reserves. Sturdy hiking shoes and good physical condition are advisable. Fantastic views, intimate trails, surprising places, and healthy air for young and old. This route also departs from the beaten path and avoids heavily built-up areas. Bring something to drink for the journey, as you leave the inhabited world. A café/alpine hut/rest area is available on the Berendries, about halfway, starting from the center of Sint-Maria-Oudenhove. At St. Hubertus Square in St. Maria Oudenhove, there are cafés where you can stop before and after the hike. A visit to the artisanal coffee roastery Hoorens is recommended.
