The route starts in Spa. First, we go up to the village of Creppe. After Creppe, the roads become quieter and descend to Winamplanche. Then follows the ascent of the Desnie Coast.
After the long descent of 6 km you leave the valley of Amblève and climb the magnificent Côte de Chession.
Via Chevron you descend into the very quiet valley of the Lienne (where fortunately the road was resurfaced a few years ago). Warning: the descent is very steep (up to 20%). Then you head north following the Lienne downstream. Then follows the beautiful Côte de Xhierfomont with 4 hairpin bends. This was followed by the ascent of La Levée. Then it goes up and down on beautiful roads with beautiful views, and we go up the second part of the Côte de Saint-Jacques. Then follows the long descent to the foot of the difficult Côte de Wanne.
The descent from the Côte de Wanne (known in the sense of climbing as the Côte de Wanneranval) to Stavelot is beautiful and steep (up to 15%). Then it climbs slightly towards Beaumont (although the first half kilometer remains with 8 - 9%) and then follows the ascent of the Côte de Ronxhi. After the descent, you cycle for 8 kilometers on the asphalt bike path above the old railway line. Arriving in Stavelot, climb the Côte d'Amermont. After the descent of the Côte de Neuville, you still have the beautiful Côte du Rosier-Est and the descent to Spa.
