Hike in Pikhakendonk, starting from Hever. Spacious parking lot at the beginning of Ravesteinstraat, less than 100 m outside the boundaries of Hever. The hike is marked with BLUE RECTANGLES. The area is marshy and can be very muddy: rubber boots recommended.

Emblematic plants are the hawthorn, blackthorn, and waythorn bushes, which form wide tree borders there. The Great Crossflower, a rare plant species that blooms in summer. You can also find the blackthorn fritillary, a rare butterfly that mainly lives on blackthorn.

The route was hiked in January 2022 during the winter hike of Natuurpunt Keerbergen.
