The tour of Ciney Sud

A beautiful and green route for a discovery of the cultural and natural heritage of Ciney Sud.

From Ciney we set off to discover the Condroz countryside. Along the circuit, appear typical farmhouses, houses in regional natural stone and local heritage: niche chapels, crossroads, chapels and the lime tree of Ronvaux, the highest point of the path.

Pedaling among the plants, we cross the south of Ciney, and we head towards the Lincia stream where appears a farm: the Ferme d'Auwez. The region contains several secret corners that only a mountain biker can discover...

Throughout the sporty and hilly course, we appreciate the diversity of landscapes and their unevenness. At Domaine Provincial de Chevetogne we cycle along several forest trails and this leads to beautiful discoveries, such as the 'Bois des Six Frères', the 'Bois des Cresses and the 'Fond de Pique' with its beautiful oaks and beeches.

Then, as in Namorimont and Corbion, the bright yellow stones of the charming villages predominate.

Route type: Small country roads and stony roads.

Type of bike: Mountain bike recommended.

Difficulty: 27 km. In addition to some slopes, there may also be muddy roads depending on the season.

Children: From +/- 15 years.

Departure: at the Tourist Office, Place Monseu. The visit begins rue Saint-Eloi, perpendicular to the square.

Signage: Follow the circuit signs (green triangles and circles).

Parking: Place Monseu, paying.
