From the beginning of this beautiful visit, the trail along the stream is simply delicious. But shortly after the ford, the escalation begins. Finally at the top!

On the ridge we are close to Vert-Buisson. In the Middle Ages, this peaceful place was a welcome stopover for travellers following the Vecquée, a route that linked the Principality of Liège to that of Stavelot. The long passage of the wood ended in the hamlet of Ville-au-Bois. Leaving the hamlet, we follow the course of the mountain stream 'la Chefna', which follows jagged turns between the rocks.

The descent seems endless, but what a pleasure to pedal with your mountain bike on one of the most beautiful routes in the country.

After this decline, the Quareux Fund finally appeared. The large quartzite blocks scattered in the bed of the Amblève close this beautiful but demanding visit.
