Description by the author

This tour is a journey back in time around the largest medieval castle in Belgium.

The predominant image in the town of Bouillon is the impressive 10th century castle. The first kilometers lead us through the historic town, with a beautiful view of the back of the castle.

The beautiful road takes us to the banks of the Semois where further, far from civilization, we discover the abbey of Cordemois (possibility to visit the small shop of the abbey).

We continue pedaling along the water, pass in front of a barbecue shelter and then the old Moulin de l'Epine. At this point, the road receives a layer of stone. In front of us is the only difficulty of this journey.

We climb up the Curfoz plateau through a deciduous forest. At the edge of the forest, meadows announce the arrival of a village, where we take a road that descends to Bouillon. At the foot of the descent, we see how beautiful the historic city is. The castle is built on a narrow rocky plateau and gives a balanced impression.

At the end of the visit we do not hesitate to visit him, the views are magnificent.
