Description by the author

With this beautiful mountain bike route from Saint-Hubert in Belgian Luxembourg, you will discover one of the most beautiful forests in the country.

Saint-Hubert is the European capital of hunting, but also of nature! Here, the immense forest is an inexhaustible source of some of the most beautiful hikes in the country. With this tour you will discover the soul and beauty of the forest. It is also an open book of the fauna and flora of the region. With a little luck you will suddenly discover a deer!

Shortly after the animal park, the road climbs to the King Albert monument, which recalls the monarch's visits to these forests. A bend and a beautiful descent take us into the valley that was formed by the Masblette.

When we pedal to the Fagne du Rôlis, we hear our tires slipping on the stones... City traffic and noise are far away here. Around us rise the trunks of giant beeches. Here, the forest is the most beautiful. The last kilometers of the trail lead us to the edge of the forest and then we dive into the city of Saint-Hubert where the basilica forms the predominant image.
Good to know!
The Great Forest of Saint-Hubert covers 100,000 ha, more than half of which is covered by forests. A network of about 1500 km of routes (for hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders) is proposed on the site, in the section 'Walks à la carte'. Also available for smartphone.
