Difficult tour from "Le domaine des Hautes Fagnes" in Ovifat, just a stone's throw from the Botrange. In addition to this XL version (eXtra Large), there is also a Large and a Medium version of this route. The first difficult climb is the Ferme Libert. After the descent, a section of RaVel follows, including the tunnel under the Haute Levée. After the Haute Levée, the Thier de Coo, the Stockeu, the Wanneranval, and Les Hézalles follow, all very difficult climbs. Over Fosse to Haute Bodeux. Towards Ancienne Barrière, this route also includes Rue Mionfosse; little known, but a nice ascent. After descending from the Ancienne Barrière, the Lienne is followed to the foot of the Côte de Xhierfomont. Nice climb. Over Rahier to the Amblève, where the south side of the Rosier is climbed, with 9 km being one of the longest climbs in Belgium. From La Gleize to Spa over Winamplanche and Rue Haftay, an alternative ascent of the Maquisard, which is actually descended. From Spa, the Rosier is climbed from the north side up to Géronstère, where the route turns left towards Source de la Sauvenière. From there, it heads towards Solwaster and Jalhay. The route ends with the ascent to Baraque Michel and the Botrange over Mont Rigi.
