Our graves weep with us. With their subdued color of gray blue stone, they remove the burden of mourning and remembrance from our shoulders. But once a year our tombstones are allowed to rest and we decorate them with the beautiful soft chrysanthemums and floral arrangements. With All Saints' Day, we transform our cemeteries into colorful paradises full of memories.
Between these memories are strange graves. The dead under their stones often come from elsewhere and have found a final resting place here. These passers-by have become eternal passers-by. Often, these deaths have left their mark on the region, by what happened to them or by what they were. Here we tell their story once again.
