Landscape
This landscape forms the southern border of the city of Antwerp. The route of the Kleine Struisbeek starts in Edegem and follows the city border from the E19 to the A12. In Edegem the stream can no longer be seen and in Antwerp the valley area is also under building pressure. At the new Park of Eden, the trend was reversed. A large part of the area, which was originally intended to be completely parceled out, was transformed into a natural park. Only on the northern edge near the Krijgslaan are new homes being built. The design of the Park of Eden not only reinforced the typical nature of the stream valley, but also took into account the need to buffer more water in pools and ditches.
