Lanzerath-Manderfeld-Herresbach

Combining the Lanzerath-Manderfeld hike and the Manderfeld-Herresbach hike, both hikes also cross the B&B Silberhütte. In terms of atmosphere, landscape and soil, very similar walks, now combined for even longer hiking pleasure. The starting point is the church of Lanzerath (district of Büllingen) where you can also park your car. From Lanzerath it crosses a landscape of open meadows to the Frankenbachtal nature reserve. On Medendorf, follow the Frankenbach to Herresbacher Mühle. There you will take the GR56 long road along Manderfeld and Lanzerath again.
Beautiful open landscapes interspersed with chunks of forest, largely along the water.
Almost exclusively on unpaved roads. Depending on the season, the trails can be very muddy or soggy, so good shoes are definitely necessary. Totally unsuitable with wheelchairs or strollers.
Very suitable with dogs, who can fully enjoy the streams.
Although you pass through a number of small hamlets, it is still a very natural journey, not noisy and without traffic.
Only in the center of Manderfeld you can eat or drink something when it is not making a picnic.
