The Flanders Route offers the hiker the entire sample book of Flemish landscapes. The route gives the opportunity to really explore your own country, from west to east, from Heuvelland to Teuven. Your footsteps lead you through a landscape of vast fields, forests and hills. Forgotten villages and charming shores lie in your path. Historic cores are never far away.

The GR 128 is an international route with first 175 km through French Flanders, starting from Wissant on the French Opal Coast and a spur in Germany (end point Aachen). These routes are signposted by our French and German colleagues.

This variant leads along the unexpected corners through historic Leuven. The route runs in a semicircle around the city. You step from one abbey (Vlierbeek) to another (Park).
This section also forms a connection between the Streek-GR Dijleland and the Streek-GR Hageland.
