Region-GR Uilenspiegel is a cross-border long-distance walking path through East and West Flanders in Belgium and Zeelandic Flanders in the Netherlands. You walk through the flat land of polders and creeks, forests and meadows, castles and picturesque villages. You discover a piece of unknown and unloved Flanders. Pollard willows, reed banks, and impressive water features adorn your journey.

The main route is a loop of 160 km, connecting the notable places of Damme, Het Zwin, Sluis, Oostburg, and Terneuzen in the north. In the vicinity of Boekhoute, you leave the polder landscape and further south, you become acquainted with Meetjesland. The Lembeek forests, the provincial domain Het Leen, and the Drongengoed forest guarantee many kilometers of relaxing walking pleasure. On the outskirts of Bruges, you get to know the domain forest of Rijckevelde and the Abbey of Male.

The Kreken variant (50 km) shows you the way from the Damse Vaart to Watervliet via the picturesque Aardenburg and the tiny Sint-Jan-In-Eremo. You walk along beautiful creeks with resonant names. Boerekreek, Blokkreek, and Hollanders Gatkreek are oases of tranquility on your journey.

The route is marked with white-red and yellow-red stripes. The route is divided into several daily stages.
