From Grand Bigard station, you take the most beautiful paths to get to Halle. The route is not the most direct, but very pleasant. In the first quarter, you leave the suburbs of Brussels: there are many roads. But even in the residential areas, some shortcuts will surprise you. From the halfway point of the route, the numbered paths are preferred: you reach Pajottenland. There is little shade, but there is no shortage of cafés for tasting local beers. We reach the basilica by circling Halle to the east, thereby avoiding the N6, and leading ourselves along the water before crossing a park. Good walkers reach the basilica in 4 hours: the terrace restaurants are waiting for them for a well-deserved meal!
