A partir de la gare de Grand Bigard, on emprunte les chemins les plus jolis pour arriver à Halle.
Le trajet n'est donc pas le plus direct, mais très agréable.
Dans le premier quart on quitte les faubourgs de Bruxelles : on a beaucoup de rues. Mais même dans les quartiers résidentiels, quelques chemins de traverse vous surprendront.
A partir de la moitié du parcours, les chemins numérotés sont privilégiés : on arrive dans le Pajottenland.
Il y a peu d'ombres mais les cafés ne manquent pas pour une pause dégustation de bières locales.
On arrive à la basilique en contournant Halle par l'est, évitant ainsi la N6, et nous menant au fil de l'eau, puis traversant un parc.
Les bons marcheurs arriveront devant la basilique en 4 heures : les restaurants avec terrasse les attendent pour un repas bien mérité !
