Tour through Bruges with magnificent terraces and authentic cafés

This leisure bike tour starts at bike junction 5 in the cycling inner ring around Bruges and follows the junctions up to 46, then continues cycling in the center of Bruges. From junction 5 to 46, we follow the bike junctions with only 2 deviations to pass by cozy terraces, see below. Tip: In the upper right corner of the map, you can select the junction map. It is also advisable to read the explanations about the beautiful "sights" under this "route description" beforehand.

We ride through Oostkamp to the castle park of Loppem, where there is, by the way, a nice maze for children (see also sights). Once we pass under the E40, we reach the beautifully located terrace of the visitor center of the public observatory between junctions 61 and 94 (deviation 1, at this loop). After that, we continue cycling through the beautiful Tillegembos, where we pass the café/terrace "De Trutselaar" (this is deviation 2 between junctions 59 and 70). We then continue over Sint-Andries past the "little station" in Varsenare (between 48 and 30), and then also pass or stop at junction 56 at "Bistro Nieuwenwege". From here, we continue along the canal to reach the center of Bruges on the ring just past junction 46. This is Bruges at its best... with passages including the beautiful but sometimes lively beer café "Brugs Beertje" and also the oldest café in Bruges, "Café Vlissinghe". We conclude culinarily at "Sol y Sombra" with delicious tapas!! After that, we cycle back to junction 5.
