Very pleasant shortest walk of 4.8km, pleasant in the late afternoon when transitioning to the low sun. Very nice paths from the atlas of neighborhood roads. So: nature assured!!
If you want a loop of 1 km longer or even longer, look at:
Departure and arrival point on the Hoogstraat, between the Molenweg and the Beekveldstraat (from Zemst a little visible eastern exit).
However, a warning for 2 obstacles that you have to take into account.
1a. At the end of the Dasmusweg (S. ) you have to turn right the relatively unknown S. which runs over a dry moat at the end and follows it on the southeast side, then in a northerly direction. This footpath is not maintained and a step to the sheep pasture is not easy. After the harvest you can walk on the longitudinal fields.
1b. The sheep pasture is closed with a thread between two pollard willows. You can talk about it, I haven't had any problems with the owners of the sheep, had good chats with it by the way. The footpath follows the canal northwards to the Bekveldstraat. If you don't want to cross the wire and canal nettles there, you can take the classic meadow entrance on the right to end up on the beekveldstraat.
2a. North of the Willebrordusweg it is a footpath on the right before the electricity cabin that ends in the extension of the Beekveldvoetweg, where at the end is the starting point of the walk. A private individual has put a pole-tension pole in the middle of the footpath, not knowing that he is not allowed to put that pole there, but must grant it free passage. In any case, he should remove this last pole and attach his garden fence to his wall, so that the minimum width of 1.6m is respected.
2b. just before the arrival of the Beekveldstraat, this footpath is closed by a private person just before the stream. Here you are forced to follow the closing wire to the next bridge over the stream field. Once crossed, you can return to the beekveldvoetweg which you can take on the right towards your starting point. After the harvest, this detour is easily accessible. During the harvest it is a bit difficult between the corn strips.
