The red loop of the marked hiking trail in Tongeren begins at the "Plinius" swimming pool, where there is ample parking available. The trail starts with a section along the Finland track, then heads towards Beukenberg, a section that can be somewhat challenging. At the top of this hill, you can admire a piece of the Roman wall. The path goes through fields and some wooded areas, and at the end, you pass by the Castle of Betho before returning to the Pliniuspark.
