The walk explores the transition area between the flat Scheldt landscape and the Flemish Ardennes. The start is in the Land van Rode, the slightly hilly area south of Ghent. Here you will get acquainted with the typical coulter landscape of fields and fields. You reach the wide river valley of the Scheldt and step through the meersen area on the old Scheldt arm. The Zwalm region treats you to beautiful historic wind and water mills and the path along the Zwalm takes you to Munkzwalm. Along the way, a few small villages pass by, of which Munte in particular has preserved its characteristic view.
