Hiking in the Regional Landscape of Kempen and Maasland
This day trip utilizes GR 561 Kempen-Maaspad.
Limburg, the greenest province of Flanders, proudly presents the Hoge Kempen National Park, the first national park in Flanders.
You can hike (as well as cycle and ride) there "in the footsteps of nature." The landscape is very diverse: vast forests, large heathlands, and deep water bodies surrounded by high peaks. With beautiful views!
This hike seeks the source area of two streams in the national park, which you will find just south of the heathland area and on the other side of the E314/A2.
Departure and arrival take place at Kikbeek, and along the way, you will walk through the wonderful valley of Zijpbeek.
