It is still fun to hike, but they should update the arrows (blue cross) a bit because sometimes one is missing. You can always print out the brochure (or take a photo of the information board) from the tourist office. After 1 km, there are several picnic benches, after 3 km there is a temporary detour due to a path that is underwater (there is a way up, but then you will return on the way of the route; first go right until you reach the 'Pont de la Veccquee and some benches), after 5 km a pavilion to rest again. The route was slightly changed at the second passage at the picnic benches, you cross to the Feldstraße, and over a small bridge (where an arrow is missing) you follow the path up and follow the arrows again. In the previous version, you returned on the same path to the parking lot from the second passage at the picnic benches. The hike is definitely recommended in warm weather.

The hiking route is fine again.

Info: Due to flooding, this hike will probably be inaccessible for a while as the bridges and paths have been washed away. (according to photos I’ve seen of the parking lot and starting point)

According to information from the Jalhay-Sart tourist office, the marked route (blue cross) is now 10 km long and takes 3 hours. You can click on the source below to print out the updated brochure there. (Thanks for the info from a hiker)

A beautiful hike along the banks of the river Hoëgne, inaugurated on September 25, 1899, by Queen Marie-Henriette. Despite the 8 km, it takes at least 2 hours and 30 minutes (without a picnic). The splendor of nature and the roaring river, which you cross several times over small wooden bridges, makes you stop several times to admire it. On the hiking path, you also have to deal with tree roots, watercourses, and stones that slow down the pace.
There is a nice parking lot, but then you have to cross the river by car, so it’s already a spectacle beforehand.
The route can also be followed with arrows (blue cross), which is good because the GPS signal strength is low to non-existent.
