Meet at the town hall of Clavier at the intersection of rue d'Atrin and rue Forville (V). Park your car on Forville Street and pedal between the town hall with old water pump and the war memorial and the pop-up library to the crossroads. Turn left, pass the Atrin agglomeration sign and the Alterschool (pilot project for high school students with behavioural problems). Once you're past that, you get the first views. You cycle between impressive natural stone farmhouses, then arrive at the N641. Cross it and pedal further, towards Pair. You pass through an open agricultural landscape with an impressive 360-degree panorama. On the left is the Bois d'Ochain. Don't worry about secondary roads and pedal further along the par's agglomeration sign. At the crossroads with a road to Bende on the right and one to Warzée and Seny on the left, you continue straight. Ignore another road on the right. If you pay attention, you can see Pair's castle diagonally to the left.

Go further and follow the sign for the Route de la Buissonnière. You pass a square farm until you reach the Tsplitsing. On the left is the castle of Pair, on the right a lawn with a village pump of the eighteenth century and in the background the church of Pair, behind the lime trees. The Buissonnière route turns left, you turn right and arrive a little further at a playground, near the church with fortified cemetery and an ephemeral library (see box).

Cycle through the Le RePair party room and turn left at the first quadrangle. You descend in front of the Ouffet nameplate and the Béemont agglomeration sign and continue to a crossroads with a Lourdes cave on the right and the Château de Béemont on the left at the crossroads immediately after having a beautiful view of the castle and the adjacent castle farm. Turn right and immediately after turn right again, direction Warzée. You cycle along the Bois Beaufontaine and come after the Warzée agglomeration sign on the N66. Turn right and a little further, in front of the TECbus depot, turn left into the Tige de Hody, a one-way street. At the end turn left and at Ysplit keep right and continue to follow the Tige de Hody. Ignore Rue Frais Fossé on the right and pass some impressive stables to a crossroads with a tree on each corner. Turn right after the Warzée agglomeration sign. After a short climb, you can enjoy a beautiful view. Turn left at Tsplit. It now continues on a road reserved for agricultural vehicles, horseback riders, walkers and cyclists. Continue to meander and gently undulate until you can take the road to Ellemelle on the left after the agglomeration sign of Ouffet. Please note that you will only see the sign if you are coming from the other direction. Continue cycling through the open landscape and the Bois Copette and pass the Ellemelle agglomeration sign until you reach the first quadrangle. If you look closely, you can see a small chapel in the hedge. Turn right, cross the Bois SaintRoch and pass in front of the Château de l'Abbaye. In fact, you only see the castle farm opposite and where you can go for a number of farm products.

Then take the first road on the left, direction Xhos. You cross a hollow road and pass the Xhos agglomeration sign. If you feel like it, you can take a closer look at St. Stephen's Chapel (actually a church). For this, you have to pedal down the street on the right. The chapel dates from the time of Notger (972-1008), first prince-bishop of the principality of Liège. Our visit goes straight. Ignore the road to Tavier and Moulin on the left and continue cycling towards Hody. You pass the end of the Xhos conurbation panel and the edge of the forest and climb to five points. Turn left towards Moulin. You pedal through the Bois du Moulin and then descend to a Tsplit. Turn left, pass a brick chapel. Ignore the Fraiture road on the right and choose right at the Ysplitsing, so almost straight.

On the left, the cul-de-sac with Le Molinay, the water mill of the Mill. There was already a mill in 1505. The current building dates from the early nineteenth century. At the crossroads with the road to Xhos on the left and a dead end road on the right, you drive straight. You continue pedaling through the open landscape and a grove and pass the agglomeration sign of Ellemelle. Ignore the rue des Partisans on the right and at the fork follow the Tige de Xhos on the right until the crossroads with a chapel on column. Turn right onto Rue du Soheit, direction Fraiture. You leave the village by bike and cross a little the wood of Herberain with the chapel of the Maquis de l'Herberain (4). It was erected as a memorial to the resistance fighters who died here in 1944. Memories of castles When you step out of the forest, you can see Fraiture in the distance. Get off first, then go up to the church. Turn left onto Rue de la Vieille Forge. At the corner is the Ferme des Trois Tilleuls from 1663 and in a bend the Old Forge and the old gendarmerie (see box). Further on the left, there is an alley that led to the Châteauneuf. Unfortunately, the castle burned down completely in 1963. Some buildings have signs with explanations, as they played a role in the legendary story of d'Zy who lived in Fraiture at the end of the eighteenth century (see box). At the intersection, you pedal straight, direction Seny. Then skip the road for cyclists to Tinlot, Warzée and Clavier on the right and pass the end of the Fraiture agglomeration sign and the monument to the American crew of the B17 that was shot down by the Germans here on Christmas Day 1944. Don't worry about secondary roads, enjoy the countryside and pass the fortified cemetery of Seny.

After the Seny agglomeration sign, turn right onto Hayhoulle. You venture between impressive farms and continue pedaling to the N66. On the left the Place du Baty with the church. Cross the road and pedal next to a square farm on the road to Terwagne, towards Terwagne. You leave the village by bike, pass a large semi-open stable and enjoy a 360-degree panorama after the end of the Seny agglomeration sign. Don't worry about side roads and cycle along the edge of the forest and through a grove to a five-pointer. Take the second road on the left. It looks like you're driving down the driveway of a house, but there's definitely a street going down it. Follow it to Tsplit. On the right you see the church of Terwagne. Left.

It now goes directly to Ochain. Just after the agglomeration sign of this hamlet, you cross an intersection and pedal in the rue Roi Albert. Where it turns right, follow the straight down street. Turn right with the street and climb along the castle wall and entrance to Ochai Castle, now a rest house. You return to Rue Roi Albert and follow it on the left. On the right, the remains of the century-old linden tree alley that went to the castle, on the left the castle itself. You then pass the church of Ochain, leave Wacomont Street on the right and continue by bike to the N641. Cross it and take the road immediately to the left on the other side. Then turn right onto the first road. Continue pedaling along the end of the agglomeration sign and the cemetery of Clavier until the Tsplitting with on the right, under a mourning, the potale d u S aintSacrement. This beautiful limestone chapel was built at the end of the seventeenth century. On the right, you see the church of Clavier. Turn left and at the end of the street, turn right onto Forville Street until you start.
