You will leave in the parking lot of the Auberge du Prévost, which is part of the open-air museum of the Fourneau Saint-Michel. Keep the estate on your left and cycle along the wide paved road to the fork, where you can turn right towards Nassogne. You pass 'Crawi', a stone picnic area and enjoy a magnificent view. After the Nassogne agglomeration sign, ignore all secondary roads and continue cycling through the centre of Nassogne. You pass in front of Le Chapiteau du Beau Séjour, ignore the streets leading to the church and after rue de Masbourg and La Gourmandine, take rue Saint-Fiacre on the left. Ignore the secondary roads and go down to the crossroads with a cross of the field. 'Vieux Bon Dieu' is the name of this place.
Turn left and at the fork immediately after, ignore the gravel road on the left and continue climbing along a narrow paved road between the meadows. Then you go into the forest and you can go down to the bend of Saint-Hubert Street. Turn left and then right, cross the bridge over the Masblette, direction Mormont. After the bridge, turn right and at the next fork, turn left. You pass in front of the church of Masbourg and an impressive square farmhouse from 1825 and get a beautiful view after the sign "end of agglomeration" of Masbourg.
You pedal again in the forest and when you go out, you have a beautiful view of the valley on the left and you recognize the Auberge du Prévost. Then you start to go down the rue Léon Herman. Past the Mormont agglomeration sign, follow the arrows to Awenne and pass in front of a robust chapel. Continue to follow the arrows to Awenne. After a short climb, pass in front of the sign "end of the agglomeration" of Mormont. On the left you have a beautiful panorama and you can see the Auberge du Prévost, the school and the open-air museum church. Ignore a road on the left and go down to Awenne. Pass the church and a cast iron fountain, ignore the road to Saint-Hubert on the left and go down in front of a second fountain, the village school and the Auberge du Sabotier with a third fountain at the junction. Choose here, diagonally on the left, direction Mirwart.
Go up first and then go down to the Saint-Hubert-Rochefort road. Cross it and pass Le Snoop tavern, heading towards Mirwart. Climb further and you will again be rewarded with a beautiful panorama. Then you start the descent to Mirwart.
First a trout, then a wolf At the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Walcourt (Grande Chapelle, 1861), you ignore a secondary road on the left and continue straight ahead, towards Mirwart. Continue downhill, enjoy the view on the right and pass the chapel of Notre-Dame de Lourdes (Petite Chapelle, late 19th century) and the church to the village. Right in front of you you see Mirwart Castle (11th century), but you don't need to cycle until then. Turn right onto Domaine Provincial de Mirwart. Descend and cycle along the Old Mill, under the railway and on La Lomme to the fish ponds of the fish farm of the Domaine Provincial, where trout are raised. In good weather, you can picnic here in a beautiful setting.
Turn left after the large fish pond and exit the estate through the Smuid Wood. Turn right onto the T. Beyond the Smuid agglomeration sign, the road splits. Pedal straight along a high wall with the separate road at the top and you'll walk along the 1865 Saint-Thibaut chapel. The road splits again. Continue straight ahead and on the quadrangle, you will see on the left the restored washhouse, the old public washhouse, of Smuid. Turn right and at the next intersection, at Chapelle Saint-Monon, turn left. Straight ahead, it goes to Transinne. Leave the road to Poix, the Hostellerie des Tilleuls and the church of Smuid and go up to the square with on the left the small Chapel of the 7 Sorrows, also called Chapel of the Tomb of Christ and a wooden statue of a wolf.
On the right is the chapel of St. Anthony. Here you pedal to the right. It continues to ripple through the forest and along the Kaolin Quarry, where kaolin - or porcelain clay - was excavated. You will now find the Nutons Trail. Then continue by bike to the Dinant-Neufchâteau road. Turn left towards Libin. Take the first street on the left, rue Bac-d'en-Haut, a street for local traffic. Ignore a street to the right and left and continue cycling to the N808. Cross it and cycle abruptly to the other side. Turn left onto the T. Ignore all secondary roads and pedal further between meadows. At the end you follow the narrow paved road on the left. Not so ordinary forest First you pedal between the meadows, then for a long time through the forest. On the T, turn left towards Hatrival. You pass the sign named Pont de Libin and the agglomeration sign of Hatrival Gare, cross La Lomme, turn left in front of the railway with the road and cross the new railway bridge. On the other hand, turn left and at the fork you stay on the right. You immediately begin an ascent through the forest.
Ignore the road to Banal Bois on the right, pass the sign of agglomeration of hatrival, then go down to the center. Turn left around the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Conduct (1670) and take the first street on the right, the Chemin Drî les Cortis. It goes down and you get a nice panorama. At the cemetery, leave Rue de l'Eglise on the right and continue straight. It is now increasing. At the fork, keep right and pass the sign "end of the agglomeration" of hatrival. It continues to meander and wind through the forest to the Libin-Saint-Hubert road. Cross it and continue pedaling between meadows and through the forest. Back in the open landscape, you start the descent to Arville, which you see in the distance.
After the cemetery, you leave a street and at the fork after it, you stay on the left. At the end, you pedal to the rue du Rivage and walk along the square with the church. Do not worry about the side streets and at the end, next to L'Alix, turn left into Rue de Coëmont. Then take the first street on the right and exit the village again. Ignore Rue du Paradis going down to the left and at the next fork on the left, choose Rue du Poteau. Rue du Paradis turns right here. Continue cycling to the Saint-Hubert - Rochefort road and follow it 200 meters on the right, towards Saint-Hubert. Then take the road to the Container Park on the left. At the fork, choose the left. You cycle along the container park, further between the meadows and along the edge of the forest to the intersection with the N849. Turn left, direction Forrières. You now cycle 4 km on a wide paved road with little traffic through the King Albert Forest to the Masblette, where the Iron Museum is located. Continue straight, leave the road of Awenne and the main entrance of the open-air museum and continue by bike to the starting point.
