Kirre Polder paths around Damme

This cycling route uses as many slow roads (sometimes unpaved) and car-free roads as possible. The route consists of a large number of loops, allowing recreational riders endless variations to adjust the route and reduce the total distance (approximately 76 km).

This route winds through the Damme Polder landscape, sometimes along but always near the three canals (Leopold Canal, Schipdonk Canal, and Damme Vaart). The route is completely flat and consists solely of (paved) field paths, bike paths, and some unpaved roads, which are passable even in winter! Car-free is key! Busy intersections are systematically avoided. There are no intersections with traffic lights and no roundabouts along the route.

There is also a French version of this route under the name 'Kirre les sentiers du 'Plat Pays' autour de Damme'. The route is identical, only the attractions, automatically generated by Route You, differ from those in the Dutch version.
