AzureWalking in the Fort of Merksem combines the passage along the brick remains of the old buildings and the continuous presence of the old fort moat. An ideal, natural and historic environment to get into a firm runner's rush. The round around the Fort is just over two kilometers, the course on the inside of the canal has 1.7 kilometers and has a slightly softer surface. In the domain itself you can still take the route on the paved surface. Note! The gate of the Fort of Merksem closes around sunset.
