Running track Muisbroek - orange loop

Between the bustling port of Antwerp and the A12 motorway lies the Muisbroek estate, a unique piece of nature where it is wonderfully peaceful to run. The area, informally better known as the Ekerse Pits, is famous for its two ponds, where many divers find their soulmate. These were dug for water extraction for the steam shunting locomotives of the railways back in the day, but are now home to many species of fish and waterfowl. Runners will find three adventurous running routes here of different lengths that weave around and along the ponds and are interconnected.

Start: The three routes begin at the small pit. At the end of Vier Kerkenstraat, take the pedestrian bridge over the A12 and immediately turn right.

- yellow loop of 800 meters around the small pit
- orange loop of 2,800 meters around both small pits
- green loop of 4,500 meters through the polder and around both pits
