The Galgenweel has long been a very popular running track. It is home to various sailing clubs. During your run, you will have an unforgettable view of boats crossing the water, with the skyline of Antwerp in the background. For many joggers, it is also the place for a long run, as the combination of different surfaces is very good. The route also includes a large section of Finnish track, where the surface consists of wood chips. This is significantly softer and increases comfort for the runners.
- Start: Beatrijslaan, 2050 Antwerp, approximately at the level of the cyclist protection tunnel
- Distance: Loop of 3.5 km, of which 1.95 km is Finnish track with distance markers every 100 meters.
- Surface: Sand, grass, paved surface, and wood chips
